Assalamualaikum and Happy Monday everyone!
As the wedding day approaches, many brides start feeling anxious and nervous. Well, me too!
So to help you eliminate these stresses, here are some tips I managed to google last night :
1. Start walking! That’s right. Take a brisk walk around the block, up the street, wherever. The more energy you use, the more stress you rid yourself of (and it helps to tone your legs and build your cardiovascular system so that you can dance all night long at your reception!)
2. Take a vacay! It’s called a “getaway” for a reason. Leave your problems at home and head off for the beach or mountains. You may not have time for a lengthy escape, but taking a night to yourself at a bed-and-breakfast or heading out of town for the weekend will help ease the pressure. Can’t get away? At the very least, take a mental vacation. Take your phone off the hook and avoid wedding talk for a day. Spend some quality time relaxing in the bathtub or reading a good book.
3. Start drinking more water instead of sugar loaded liquids. Reduce salt intake. Avoid coffee or caffeinated drinks to keep the jitters away and skip fried foods, which can leave you feeling drained and sleepy. Stress-busting foods like whole grains and red, green or orange vegetables can help keep you relaxed. Quick Fix : Relax with a mug full of chamomile tea, a time-tested herbal stress reliever.
4. Laughing and singing are great ways to reduce the stress.
5. Catch some ZzzZzs! Burning the midnight oil is one of the leading causes of fatigue-related stress. If you're staying up late at night assembling favor boxes and focusing on your growing guest list, it's time to call it a night. You'll be happier and more relaxed if you get some sleep and revisit these projects the next day — with a fresh mind and rested body.
6. Maintain your perspective. Talk to others about the stress. Everyone has or had stress!
7. If you prefer, that old home remedy of warm milk will do it every time!
