Pink or Blue? | My Pregnancy Journey♡ #takethree

Ramadhan is here! Alhamdulillah, we are given the chance to meet the holy month of Ramadhan again this year. On behalf of my big family, we humbly apologize for all the mistakes we did and may Allah accepts our ibadah and grant us all Jannah. Ameen ya Allah. Happy Fasting to all. ^^

Pink or Blue? What a cliche title, right? Hehehe.
Recently I've been to both a private and government clinic to do the ultrasound session and the difference in terms of treatment and service is seriuosly bothering me. Of course the private clinic give better service and treatment since we are willing to pay them in return. But the poor service and treatment shown by the doctor and nurse in the government clinic (this is definitely not a generalization) are unbelievably shocking to me as a first time mom to be.

In the private clinic that I went to, Dr. Shirley's, even though at that time the doctor went outstation, the medical assistant who did the ultrasound explain thoroughly and show me every single detail of my baby's growth including the internal organs, bones and all. Alhamdulillah, all praises to Allah, my baby doesn't show any abnormalities. Baby's heartbeat, my "air ketuban" and baby's position are also fine. Baby was very active and naughty at that time, moving a lot, kicking and even playing hide and seek with us (when we want to see the face, heheheee). The medical assistant also informed us that baby's length and weight are good, not too big, not too small. Alhamdulillah ya Allah. Overall, me and hubs are very satisfied with the service and also the report though actually we're a bit disappointed that we didn't mention to have a 4D scan instead of the normal 2D scan. Tu lah terlampau excited! *sigh~

Quite detail report. Thumbs up!

Say Hello to our baby! Ummi and Abi can't wait to hold you in our arms, syg♡

In the government clinic on the other hand, not only that I was forced to wait for 3 hours plus till my number got called, the service from the doctor and nurse is very disappointing! First they asked me to sit and they checked my blood pressure and then kept quiet while writing on my clinic card. They then asked me to lie down on the bed, the doctor did the ultrasound and the only 2 things that the doc said to me were "Ok so you're now 33 weeks pregnant + your baby might be a ___________" and that's it! Nothing more, nothing less! She didn't even mention anything about the condition or growth of my baby! (She's a doctor with grade 44, okay, not a newbie or fresh graduate doctor!). Even more shocking and unacceptable to me was the fact that the doctor simply sat down after the ultrasound and leave me like a stupid person till the nurse shouted (literally) "Ok suda ya, boleh bangun & duduk di kerusi". They didn't wipe the gel on my tummy and didn't even gave me tissues to do it on my own. What the fish! Da la the doctor squeezed the gel macam mo setengah tu botol. Huhuhu.

Ultrasound reports from KKIA Kunak. First was done in week 23 & the second was done recently, week 33.

Frankly speaking, I prefer to go to private clinics or hospital for my antenatal routine checkup as well as for my labour but we don't have a specialist in town, the one that I went to, Dr. Shirley's was 1 and a half hour drive from our house. The road is bumpy and not highway plus our busy schedule make it a bit troublesome. For my labour pulak, I don't think I'm willing to endure the labour pain combined with the long, arduous, painful trip to the hospital for another 1 and a half hour when actually the general hospital is just 15 minutes away from home. So it's okay, I don't have any regrets coz deep in my heart I accept that Allah has better plans for me. Right now I'm praying hard that Allah will ease my delivery process, give me a lot of strength and safeguard me from any terrible experiences when it's "time". Besides, I think going to the government clinic and hospital saves a lot of money for me and hubs. Yes we can afford the cost but we are not rich folks so it's a wise decision indeed. We can use the money to buy baby's stuff instead! Hehehe.

Okay, back to my entry title, can you guess my baby's gender?? Hehehe. Actually I don't want to reveal or announce the gender yet coz I want to make it a surprise. Lagipun like what my mother said, "You can't be so sure till the baby's out!". But you know lah kan, for a first time parents to be like me and hubs, orang bilang itu excitement lain macam bah kan? Hihihi. Apa lagi when people around you start asking about it. So, are you ready?? Drum roll pleaseeee!! We're having a baby BOY!!!!! InshaaAllah. Hehehe. Lucky thing all the baby stuffs we bought so far are mostly in green and white colour especially the baby gears coz we also want to save some money there (inshaaAllah the baby gears can be used for our next baby regardless of the gender, kan?)

Our little Imam, inshaaAllah♡

To those who are reading this, please spare a prayer for me, okay? Who knows maybe my next entry will be about my birth story already. Hehehe. Actually my bidan said to me today that baby is ready to come out soon. My nenek and mama also said the same thing. They all asked me to be prepared. They don't think I'll deliver in August looking at my belly, my face and body change and also my condition now. Believe it or not, my gut also tells me that I might deliver in mid July instead of mid August. Motherly instinct, maybe? Hehehehh. Honestly I think maybe I miscalculate my LMP coz I'm not really sure that I've given the date accurately. Whatever it is, I hope and pray that my baby's fine and healthy no matter when he choose to come out and of course, may Allah grant me a smooth, painless and safe labour. Allahumma Ameen.

"Bismillahitawakkaltu alallah. La hawla wala kuwwata illa billah."

Nota Kaki ::
Debaran kian terasa. Nervous and scared but excited at the same time.
Allahu Rabbi, permudahkanlah janganlah dipersulit.

Till my next entry peeps! Au revoir!

Checklist | My Pregnancy Journey♡ #taketwo

This time, let's talk about something exciting, baby stuffs!! Hehehe. So I googled about the checklist of what to prepare for newborn and also for mummy.

Boleh tahan banyak barang mo prepare kan? Phewww~

After weeks and months of holding ourselves back of not buying baby stuffs and get too excited of preparing this and that (this is considered like a taboo for the elders in the family since this is my first pregnancy), we finally decided to buy necessary stuffs for our little one, inshaaAllah, one by one. Yeay!!

One reason is obviously we are very excited to do so and another logical reason is budget wise. Baby stuffs are certainly not cheap, okay. I bet you all are aware of that, aren't you? It's our first baby some more. So to buy everything at last minute at one go is definitely not a good idea (at least for us!).

That's me selfie-ing in my 31 weeks of pregnancy. Alhamdulillah ya Allah♥️

Since I'll be in my 32nd weeks of pregnancy next week, which equals to the 8th month, inshaaAllah, we think it's about time that we start to prepare for my labor (OMG I'm so nervous yet excited at the same time! Please pray for me, okay?). So first up is the baby and mummy's checklist of stuffs needed to be brought to the hospital when it's "time" and then the after labor checklist as well as the newborn basics/ essentials checklist.

I think this one is okay, it's middle ground but misses a few other essentials especially for baby.

Here are the lists that I managed to come out with after finding a few checklists on the internet (I kinda mix and match of one list to the other to come up with this one) :

#Hospital Bag Checklist :

Baby's :

- Swaddle/ Bedung Baby ✔️
- Sleepsuits or Overall Jumper ✔️
- Mittens ✔️
- Booties
- Hat
- Towel ✔️
- Receiving Blanket ✔️
- Bibs
- Handkerchief/ small towel/ napkins
- Diapers/ pampers
- Toiletries + Babycare essentials
- Going home outfit
- Hooded Blanket
- Barut Baby ✔️

Ummi's :

- Going home outfit
- Maternity Pad
- Kain Sarong
- Towel & small towels
- Toiletries
- Grooming kit
- VCO, Dates (kurma), Goat's Milk, Honey (make sure to be consumed before labor)

*the ones with a tick are considered ready as we have bought a few but maybe still need to be added in quantity*

#Ummi's After Labor Checklist :

- Set Bersalin (confinement set)
- Tungku
- Breastfeeding Gear (may Allah allows me to breastfeed my baby, Ameen♥️)
- Bengkung

*other necessities will be added from time to time

#Newborn Basics/ Essentials Checklist:

- Milk Bottle ✔️
- Bedding Set with Comforter (we got ours custom made, Alhamdulillah♥️) ✔️
- Rocker ✔️ (actually it's either rocker, swing or bouncer but since we bought the newborn-to-toddler rocker, we really thought it's value for money coz baby will be using it longer)
- Baby Bather ✔️
- Diaper Bag + Changing Mat
- Stroller and Car Seat ✔️ (we managed to save our kachingg a lot for these two baby gear since my beloved uncle & aunty gave us their little Anglelina's stroller and baby car seat. Thanks Pck Nong & Aunty Lydia! Mmuahx! Hehehe.)
- Steriliser + Warmer Set, Thermometer
- Grooming Kit & Healthcare
- Baby Cot (actually we don't plan to buy one coz we plan to share the bed with our baby but we'll see once the baby's out.)

*other necessities will be added from time to time

Thanks Google!

Whoaahh, that's a LIST!

Okay so far we only did a shopping spree via whatsapp to buy the stuffs. Since my hubs is still in KL last week to settle his transfer (he'll be coming home for good tomorrow!! Weeeeee!! Alhamdulillah), he went to a baby store at SS2 PJ (Babyland - good 1 stop baby center, highly recommended) and bought some of the baby stuffs and gears there. We'll buy other necessary stuffs here in Sabah soon or maybe via online shopping as I'm very fond of something different or limited edition and 'overly-cute' stuffs. Hehehe.

Our first baby stuffs shopping spree. Still a long list to go! Hehehee.

Phewww, now this is a lengthy post! Hehehe. I guess I should stop here otherwise I'll be running out of words and stories to share in my next entry. Adieu!

My Pregnancy Journey♡ #takeone

Hello there everyone. So I managed to get my lazy a** off the couch and ramble about my boring life again! Hehehe. Here we go!

Actually I've been wanting to post updates in this beloved blog of mine since the beginning of the school hols. At first, I even set a target to at least post an entry every two days during this holiday (sooooo ambitious! hahahahaa!).

Okeh, enough beating around the bush, let's go straight to the point. As you all know, I'm now pregnant with our first child and I'm now in my third trimester (30 weeks), ALHAMDULILLAH YA ALLAH. It still feel surreal to be honest but me and hubs are counting our blessings each day for this amazing journey that we finally being able to experience after waiting patiently for 2 years and 3 months.

First, let me talk about the people, the society and everyone around us. Having babies to me is really a sensitive issue especially when you don't conceive right away after tying the knot (like me). People always bombard us with THE bonus question of WHEN? like "belum ada lagi?" or "wah, lamanya honeymoon" or "go see the doctor guys, you two may have fertility problems". Urghhhh~

Then comes the time when you finally got pregnant and people will like "hrmm, finally! what took you guys so long" or "eh, lama juga kan baru you pregnant" or "si Polan dua babies suda tu, kamu baru mo ada baby". Huhuhu.

Seriously, people?? Why do these kind of insensitive questions even popped out of your mouth? Don't you at least think of the person's feeling first? or put yourself in their shoes, then you know how it feels.

Okay forget about those upsets and angry moods and vibes. Let me share about my pregnancy journey so far. I am now in my 30th weeks of pregnancy and so far, everything's fine except my HB level which now consistently read at 10++. I still need to get it up to 11 for the ideal HB level. Wish me luck on that!

LOL!

In terms of body change, I definitely feel a lot of difference now. My belly's getting bigger and to my own surprise, I got stretch marks! (never would've thought I''ll have one coz of my skinny frame~ ^^). I got tired super easily and very quickly and the bitter taste of tongue is back. Uwaaaaaaaaa!! I experience insomnia and a few discomforts like back pain, upper thigh pain, short of breath and a few more I don't really remember. I googled about all these discomforts and they all seemed common and normal. Are they? I truly hope so! Any advice? Oh one more, I notice that my style of walking is also different now. Hrmmm. Hihihi.

Baby's gender? Well, me and hubs are as curious as you guys but we haven't go for the ultrasound scan yet. InshaaAllah will go next week once my hubby is back from KL. By the way, my hubby's going back for good this time as he received his official transfer letter 2 weeks ago right on the day he went back to see me (yup, he flies back home once in every 2 weeks since April). Another great news, ALHAMDULILLAH.

Awwwwwwwwww! Hehehee

So, that's about it! I hope I don't bore you guys with my ramblings this time and please bear in mind that there'll be more to come! Hahaha! Assalamualaikum and have a great weekend peeps! ^_^

We are blessed, thank you Allah.

Hellooooooooo, anybody home?? Whoaaahhh, I can't believe my last entry was 2 years ago!!! Omaigucci!!!!

There's been a lot of things going on these past two years and as for 2014, the long awaited wish will inshaaAllah comes true. For my close friends and family members, I bet y'all can predict what is it, right? Alhamdulillah, after two years waiting, I am now in my second trimester and yes, I am 21 weeks pregnant with our first child. Thank you Allah, me and hubs feel so blessed. Notice the new ticker I've just created? Hihihi. ^^

I first found out that I'm pregnant on 19 December 2013, after a positive UPT and no words can explain what me and hubs were feeling at that time. We waited for 1 week before going to the hospital for confirmation and then went to a clinic at Puchong on 28 December 2013 to scan (also for confirmation because we were still in disbelief, heheheee) and Alhamdulillah, the doctor showed us our baby sack that day. On 17 March 2014, we saw our baby's heartbeat, baby's kick and 'meet' our baby for the first time. MashaaAllah, Allahu Akbar, me and hubs were speechless, both trying not to shed any tears in front of the doctor and nurse. Doctor told that our baby is doing fine, healthy and a bit bigger in size, heheheeeee. Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah.

Pregnancy sickness? Yes I did experience a few up till now. So far, my only problem is my low HB which lately has become even lower. Any tips? Huhuhu.

By the way, I am now back working in my hometown since January 2014. My hubs and I are now waiting for his transfer also to my hometown (ours, actually, heeeehh). May Allah ease his transfer process and we'll be back by each others' side soon. Ameen ya Allah. #hasbunallahuwanikmalwakil

Till then peeps! Assalamualaikum. ^^

Long distance wifey / hubby?

Hello dear readers. Are you married? Just married? Going to be married? Or plan to be married? Hehehe, my entry today is all about being married, that's why the word "married" is everywhere ok. :)

"Absence makes the heart grows fonder"

Ever heard of the saying above? Holding on to that mantra but beginning to have some doubts? You're not alone. I am blissfully married to the man I love last year but unfortunately, miles and distance separates us. We've been living in separate cities ever since we tied the knot due to our career demands up till now. Poor us! :( hopefully this year we'll be able to live together like other married couple and start building our family. Amin~

Looking back, after being a long distance wifey for 6 months, I believe there are some pros & cons of being in my "shoe". Here they are ::

#please kindly note that all I'm writing here are based on my own personal experience & opinion#

Pros ::

• you gonna get that excitement every time you are going to see him/ her (yala, da bejauh lama kan, mestila rindu gila & excited to meet your love one, am i right? heeeeeee~)
• you'll appreciate him/ her and the time you two spend together much more than you ever have before
• you want to do everything for him/ her (yup, everything!), even the small little things you think you won't do for anyone you see everyday like cutting his or her nails ;p
 • you get to make a lovely surprise like sending a sweet gift or card via postage without him/ her knowing (actually yg ni if tinggal bersama pun msh bleh buat, kan? heheee)

Cons ::

• you get tired of being apart for so long till you two argue over everything/ nothing!
• you are not that aware of his/ her current needs or likes. you miss out certain little details that he/ she had developed over time.
• you tend to do things on your own and get so used to it sampai tak sedar that you have put him/ her aside and made him/ her feel like you don't really need him/ her at all
• you can't attend to him/ her when he/ she is sick, injured or just had a bad day at work (you can't take care of her, suapkan ubat utk dia, urut kepala dia or pujuk dia). you only got to call or sms him/ her ~ ni yg plg sedih, above all! huhuhu :(

How to make it work?? (taken from various sources - internet articles)

In all seriousness, it is never easy to deal with being separated from someone that you truly love. Thankfully, there are ways you can deal with problems with being far apart from a paramour.
  1. Don’t try to communicate too much. You should keep communication to more reasonable levels.
  2. You and your partner need to establish some level of ground rules in how the relationship will progress while far apart.
  3. You will need to trust your other half. On the flipside, the other party is going to need to raise his/her level of trust significantly as well. If not then the entire relationship could devolve into mistrust, distrust, and jealously. What would be the value in that?
  4. Don't let the distance undermine your bond with your spouse. Distance should be defied and considered as a test to make the bond stronger. You are not alone. Millions and millions of people all around the world find it no problem. They survive it on a daily basis. And so can you!
  5. Facing up to the challenge ; just think of it as a challenge. There’s a certain advantage to being miles away from your loved ones. Couples who got the advantage of meeting up with one another frequently somewhat fail to count their blessings after some time. But in your case, you have every reason to defy distance, to keep the connection alive, and to look forward to seeing each other like it’s the most important thing in the world!

The Greatest Love Story of All Time

Hi readers! Gong Xi Fa Chai to all!
It's the beginning of the dragon year today, the best year of all in the lunar calendar. Have a prosperous and joyous chinese new year folks! :D

~ el oh vie ee ~

Speaking of new year, what's your resolution? Pursuing love, maybe? Hehehe. Love is indeed a wonderful thing and the greatest creation of the Almighty. It is a magical feeling that could make or break people. It can lead to either a happy or miserable life. So, just as a quick reminder for us, and for me also, I want to share a love story which I regard as the perfect story that embodies all the essence of what love should be about ::

Kisah cinta Nabi Allah Yusuf AS dan Zulaikha
~ a love story at its absolute finest!

Renung-renungkan ~~~

Marriage Myths VS Reality

 Howdy peeps!
Have you read about my sharings concerning marriage previously? If you do, then this one's kinda continuation to it. If you miss it, you can read it here. This time however, instead of writing my own thoughts, I'm sharing about a very good article I've found in the net while browsing last night. It's actually about the myths versus the reality of being married. Let's read on y'all.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Many myths that surround marriage can give you unrealistic expectations. Disappointment is sure to come if you are looking for the Cinderella-like happily-ever-after storybook marriage year after year.

Myths From Media

If you watch late night TV, enjoy classic movies, listen to love songs, or read romantic novels, then you may have an image of marriage that never, ever was. Do you remember or have you watched Father Knows Best, Leave it to Beaver, Ozzie and Harriet, Bewitched, I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, The Donna Reed Show, Lassie, and Cinderella?

Think about the fact that nearly all of these households were the traditional family of mom, dad, and kids. They didn't seem to have any real problems because there are no story lines about prior marriages, step-children,lack of sex, chores, physical abuse, infidelity, drinking problems, drugs, dropping out of school, political discussions, civil disobedience, unemployment, severe economic problems, and threats or even thoughts of divorce.

The father was the breadwinner and the mother made the bread. Until All in the Family came along, plots seemed to focus on little white lies, mischief, and misunderstandings.

These shows may make you believe that life is always wonderful, that all of your needs can and should be met by your spouse, children are the icing on the cake, marriage will solve all your problems, and you will live happily ever after.

Marriage Myths and Realities

MYTH: Loneliness Myth that marriage will end your loneliness.
REALITY: Many married people are still very lonely.

MYTH: Fulfillment Fallacy which makes you believe that being married makes you complete human beings.
REALITY: A couple complements one another, not completes one another.

MYTH: Marriage is for everyone.
REALITY: There are a lot of unmarried people who are extremely happy.

MYTH: Monogamy Myth makes you believe that you are the only couple who is dealing with infidelity or that it only happens to bad or weak people.
REALITY: Infidelity happens to many couples.

MYTH: Romance will always be alive in a good marriage.
REALITY: Nearly all relationships experience peaks and valleys. The everyday problems and challenges of married life can often cloud over romantic feelings. This is when making the decision to love is important.

MYTH: Marriage makes people happy.
REALITY: You can't expect your spouse to be your one source of happiness. Your personal happiness must come from within yourself. Marriage can complement your own individual happiness but it can't be the primary source.

MYTH: You won't have major problems if you truly love one another.
REALITY: A good marriage doesn't just happen. It takes nurturing, openness, and commitment.

MYTH: My spouse should know my needs without my saying anything.
REALITY: Just because you're married doesn't mean you can read minds. You have to tell your spouses what your needs are.

MYTH: Conflict means a lack of love.
REALITY: Conflict happens in every marriage. Fighting fair and for the relationship, and not just to "win" is healthy in a marriage.

Tools for a Successful Marriage

Your marriage needs love, support, tolerance, communication, realistic expectations, caring, nurturing, and a sense of humor to be successful. Some television shows like Mad About You, Home Improvement, To Have and To Hold, The Cosby Show, Dharma & Greg, and Everybody Loves Raymond reflect these values and show that marriages can survive conflict, disappointment, and problems.

Marriage Life : The Way I Feel About It~ (so far)

Happy Monday peeps! How are ya doing?
It's laundry day for me today, besa la, sejak naik pangkat jadi "wifey" ni, lagi2 skang tgh cuti, so jadi full time housewife la. Hehehe.

so true!

Orait, back to the title of my post, I actually wanted to share my view and a little bit of my personal experience about the issue today. Dunno why, this thing keeps wandering around my head lately. Before I get married, I always heard people said that life seems a bed of roses for newlyweds. Well, since I've already experienced it myself, I'd say 'YES' indeed! ^_^

But, yeap, (there's a 'but' ok) I think maybe the all-happy-and-beautiful moments lasts at least for the first two months up to 4 months, top. Why? Coz in the 5th months, reality strikes back in where couples "discover" the total package of their spouse - the good, the bad & the ugly. Okay, let me come clean about this. I'm actually still "adjusting" myself to "compromise" his "package" (even after being married for 147 days). When you're in a relationship for quite sometime, you "think" you know your guy but right after getting married, you'll realize you actually know "nothing" (not necessarily nothing la, but maybe only 20%) about the man you married. Yala, before this maybe you think you know his "habit", things he like and dislike, his favourite food, etc, BUT when you're married, living under the same roof, sharing the same room, like it or not, you'll see things you don't "prefer". So how do you cope with this?? For me, so far, me and husband try our best (still trying -- I believe this should be continuous & never stops) to always practice "give-and-take" act in whatever situation that we're in. We often try to find a middle ground especially when making decisions. We did fight and argue sometimes but eversince we got married, we always make sure the arguments won't involve yelling or saying hurtful words to each other.

As a whole, I'm a strong believer of the saying "no one's perfect", so no matter what the situation is, we should always remember that. It will ease out our mind and soul. In marriage, it takes two to make it work. We should learn to accept our other half the way he/ she is rather than trying to change him/ her into someone we want him/ her to be. Of course we want a "perfect" husband for us, right? and I think that's not wrong as long as it doesn't "suffocate" our spouse. We must be honest with each other and always try to compromise things. Don't be selfish. Also, avoid negative-thinking, always view things positively, insyaAllah, with Allah's grant and blessings, life will somehow become a "heaven" for both you and husband/ wife and future kids. Mudah-mudahan~

  7. He watches “Project Runway” with you and your girlfriends, and he secretly likes it.
  8. He went with you to your second cousin’s wedding and asked Aunt Helga (your aunt) for a slow dance.
  9. He invited you to join his fantasy football league. Enough said.
  10. He stood up for you when the a**hole at Pizza Palace wouldn’t give you your free bread sticks.
ii ~ The FIVE Signs He'll Never Cheat

1.He keeps dates and tells you where he’s been

If your partner is honest and respectful of you in one area of your relationship, it’s almost safe to say he’ll be the same in other areas. Dr Zita Weber, academic, counsellor and author of Unfaithfully Yours (New Holland, $26.95), feels that keeping commitments, such as dates, is a good indicator of the strength of your relationship.

“That’s a huge demonstration of respect that you don’t rescind on bargains and plans. With any sort of cancellation at the last hour, I think you’d have to worry about that person’s ability to commit to you and what you’re doing together.”

2. He introduces you to his friends

Awkward dating scenario : You’ve been seeing each other for a few months but he still makes excuses for you not to meet his pals.

While it’s possible that you’re so damn cool he’s worried his dorky friends might tarnish your opinion of him, it also could be that he’s worried his mates might reveal things he’s been up to behind your back. Meeting his gang is a sign that he’s serious and knows there’s nothing they could tell you about him that would make you any less crazy about him (except possibly that time he wet his pants in Year 3~ haha!).

3. He never cheated in past relationships

Ideally, in a monogamous relationship, you’d want both partners to be of the mindset that cheating is unacceptable. Hopefully, if he ever felt that temptation, he’d be honest enough to admit that perhaps he wanted to break up or see other people. So if he mentions he’s never strayed and finds the mere notion hard to fathom, and he seems genuine, it could indicate that he’s not a player.

That said, he could always be lying. But if a guy admits to you that past relationships have ended because of his indiscretions, be wary – it’s possible he’s telling you this so that if he does ever cheat, he can always say, “Well, I warned you!”.

4. He’s emotionally loyal to you

Being loyal isn’t just about him keeping it in his pants. It’s also about having your back in other ways. “We’ve all been in that place where you’ve really felt that this person is really committed to you,” says Weber.

“And they demonstrate that loyalty in every sort of way, such as defending you in an argument at a dinner party – even if you might be wrong. There are ways of showing people that you’re loyal to them in the emotional sense, not just the sexual sense.”

5. Your gut instinct says he’s trustworthy

It turns out instinct isn’t some sort of magical dishonesty detection system – it’s actually our subconscious picking up on real-life indicators. “People call it gut instinct, but it’s really clues around you that you’re osmotically picking up,” says Weber.

So, if you feel like you can trust him but can’t quite pinpoint why, it’s most likely because you’ve actually been subconsciously noticing all the actions he’s been doing that demonstrate he’s a committed and trustworthy guy.

Husbands, Wives, READ!

 Salam. Happy Diwali everyone!
Last night, I've found these wonderful and useful tips in Facebook and instantly, it appeals to my interest right away. So, in case you guys haven't read, this is just another sincere sharing from me especially for wedded couples out there. (These actually serves as a self-reminder for me and Mr.Bee too~ hehe)

EVERY HUSBAND SHOULD READ THIS:

"Love her …when she sips on your coffee or tea. She only wants to make sure it tastes just right for you.
Love her…when she "pushes" you to pray. She wants to be with you in Jannah (Paradise).
Love her…when she asks you to play with the kids. She did not "make" them on her own.

Love her...when she is jealous. Out of all the men she can have, she chose YOU.
Love her…when she has annoying little habits that drives you nuts. You have them too.
Love her…when her cooking is bad. She tries.
Love her…when she looks disheveled in the morning. She always grooms herself up again.
Love her…when she asks to help with the kids homework. She only wants you to be part of the home.
Love her...when she asks if she looks fat. Your opinion counts, so tell her she's beautiful.
Love her…when she looks beautiful. She's yours so appreciate her.
Love her...when she spends hours to get ready. She only wants to look her best for you.
Love her…when she buys you gifts you don't like. Smile and tell her it's what you've always wanted.
Love her…when she has developed a bad habit. You have many more and with wisdom and politeness you have all the time to help her change.
Love her…when she cries for absolutely nothing. Don't ask, tell her its going to be okay.
Love her…when she suffers from PMS. Buy chocolate, rub her feet and back and just chat to her (trust me this works!)
Love her…when whatever you do is not pleasing. It happens and will pass.
Love her…when she stains your clothes. You needed a new garment anyway.
Love her…when she tells you how to drive. She only wants you to be safe.
Love her…when she argues. She only wants to make things right for both.
Love her…she is yours. You don't need any other special reason!!!!

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) advised concerning the woman :
:
• Treat the women well.
• The best of you are those who are the best in the treatment of their wives.

EVERY WIFE SHOULD READ THIS:

"Love him …when he "forgets" that special occasion. For him every moment with you is special so he does not need an occasion.
Love him…when he comes late from the Mosque. He wants to make sure he is early with you in Jannah (Paradise).
Love him…when he admonishes you to don the hijab. He wants to be sure you enshrouded by Allah's Mercy when you leave the home.
Love him...when he is jealous. Out of all the women he could have, he chose you to be his wife!
Love him...when he is working till late. At least he comes home and you still get to sleep and wake up in his loving and caring arms.
Love him…when he has annoying little habits that drives you nuts. You have them too (and maybe more).
Love him…when he does not praise your cooking. He told you as newlyweds that yours was indeed always the best.
Love him…when he looks disheveled. He was more busy caring for the family than grooming himself. By the way he is cute!
Love him…when he does not help in the home. He is out earning a halal (pure) income for the family.
Love him...when he does not reply to your questions. He does not want to hurt your feelings or is absorbed in thinking about your welfare.
Love him…when he looks sleek and handsome. He's yours to appreciate!
Love him…when he goes out in the Path of Allah. He is preparing a blissful eternal home for you in Jannah.
Love him...when he does not comment when you get angry. He is a good listener.
Love him…when he buys you gifts you don't like. Smile and tell him it's what you've always wanted. He took the time and money out just for you!
Love him…when he has developed a bad habit. You have many more and with wisdom and politeness you have all the time to help him change.
Love him…when he is irritable and moody. Buy chocolates, massage his head and feet and just chat to him. He will become your slave!
Love him…when whatever you do is not pleasing. It's like a storm; it happens and will soon pass by.
Love him…when he drives so fast. He only wants you to be there in time.
Love him…when he extends his period of rest. He is re-charging himself to serve you the best.
Love him…when he forgets to say "I love you". He actually shows his love in many other ways.
Love him…when he forgets to buy the bread or milk. He was rushing home to be with you.
Love him…when he does not give you a chance to talk. He just knows what is in your heart and what it is you want to say.
Love him…when he "demands" respect. After all he is the head of the house.

Love him…when he shouts at the kids. He only wants to ensure they are corrected and have a good moral upbringing.
Love him…he is yours. You don't need any other special reason!!!!

Almighty Allah Ta'ala says ::
" And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts)…" (Qur'an 30:21)
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is reported to have said:
'Any woman who dies, and her husband is pleased with her, will enter Paradise.'"(Hadith-Ibn Majah)
"If a woman prays her five daily prayers, fasts her month (of Ramadan), obeys her husband and guards her chastity, then it will be said to her: 'Enter Paradise by whichever of its gates you wish."(Hadith-Ahmad and al-Tabarani)
"Pay attention to how you treat him(husband), for he is your Paradise and your Hell."(Hadith-13 Ahmad and al-Nisa'i)
"No human being is permitted to prostrate to another, but if this were permitted I would have ordered wives to prostrate to their husbands, because of the greatness of the rights they have over them."(Hadith: Ahmad and al-Bazzar)

So fellas, don't wait for that special occasion, take time NOW to make your wife/ husband feel special in every way! Just give her/ him a HUGE WARM HUG and if she/ he asks why, then say ~
"It's just because you are so SPECIAL!"

❤To my dearest darling BEE, I Loved You then, I Love You now & I'll Love You forever!!❤

1st storm strikes my marriage . . . . . huhuhu :(

Salam. Happy Saturday peeps! Enjoying your weekend?
Unfortunately, I did not. Well, as you can read from my post title, me and Mr.Bee had an argument last night. It's our first fight since we tied the knot last July. :(

I'm not going to disclose the cause of our argument and any details about it here coz I do feel that it is private. But why did I post an entry about this at the first place? Well, if you read my blog "disclaimer", you would notice that this blog is my place to express whatever it is that I'm feeling and share a little bit about what I'm going through in life, right? So I hope that answers your doubt.

I felt very disappointed and sad last night. The fact that we're miles apart really made things worst for us. Beratnya dugaan. Ya Allah, permudahkanlah urusan kami untuk tinggal bersama. Amin. Hrmmmm, whatever it is, I accept it as part and parcel of life. Maybe there'll be a silver lining behind all these.

Anyways, things are settled today. Me and Mr.Bee learned a few new things after last night. Alhamdulillah, kami b'jaya hadapi dugaan pertama dalam perkahwinan kami yg baru berusia hampir 3 bulan. May our love towards each other become even stronger from this day onwards. Amin Ya Rabb~

A Little Reminder for me, Mr.Bee and to all wedded couple out there :

Allah mencintai hamba-Nya melebihi seorang ibu mencintai bayinya...

SubhanaAllah . . . .

Are we an ideal muslim wife? :)

The Ideal Muslim Woman and Her Husband
(An Excerpt from the Book “The Ideal Muslimah: The True Islâmic Personality of the Muslim Woman as Defined in the Qur’ân and Sunnah”)

By  Dr. Muhammad ‘Ali Al-Hashimi
Translated by Nasiruddin Al-Khattab and Revised by Ibrahim M. Kunna and Abu  Aya Sulaiman Abdus-Sabur Copyright and published by the International Islâmic Publishing House (IIPH), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1999.

Marriage in Islam
In Islam, marriage is a blessed contract between a man and a woman, in which each becomes “permitted” to the other, and they begin the long journey of life in a spirit of love, co-operation, harmony and tolerance, where each feels at ease with the other, and finds tranquility, contentment and comfort in the company of the other. The Qur’an has described this relationship between men and women, which brings love, harmony, trust and compassion, in the most moving and eloquent terms:

(And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your [hearts] . . .) (Qur’an 30:21)

This is the strongest of bonds, in which Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) unites the two Muslim partners, who come together on the basis of love, understanding, co-operation and mutual advice, and establish a Muslim family in which children will live and grow up, and they will develop the good character and behavior taught by Islam. The Muslim family is the strongest component of a Muslim society when its members are productive and constructive, helping and encouraging one another to be good and righteous, and competing with one another in good works. The righteous woman is the pillar, cornerstone and foundation of the Muslim family. She is seen as the greatest joy in a man’s life, as the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“This world is just temporary conveniences, and the best comfort in this world is a righteous women.”1

A righteous woman is the greatest blessing that Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) can give to a man, for with her he can find comfort and rest after the exhausting struggle of earning a living. With his wife, he can find incomparable tranquility and pleasure.

How can a woman be the best comfort in this world? How can she be a successful woman, true to her own femininity, and honored and loved?
  1. She chooses a good husband
  2. She is obedient to her husband and shows him respect
  3. She treats his mother and family with kindness and respect
  4. She endears herself to her husband and is keen to please him
  5. She does not disclose his secrets
  6. She stands by him and offers her advice
  7. She encourages her husband to spend for the sake of Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala
  8. She helps him to obey Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala)
  9. She fills his heart with joy
  10. She makes herself beautiful for him
  11. She is cheerful and grateful when she meets him
  12. She shares his joys and sorrows
  13. She does not look at other men
  14. She does not describe other women to him
  15. She tries to create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility for him
  16. She is tolerant and forgiving
  17. She is strong in character and wise
  18. She is one of the most successful wives, if not the most successful wife she is the greatest blessing and good fortune that a man may enjoy
