Checklist | My Pregnancy Journey♡ #taketwo

This time, let's talk about something exciting, baby stuffs!! Hehehe. So I googled about the checklist of what to prepare for newborn and also for mummy. 

Boleh tahan banyak barang mo prepare kan? Phewww~

After weeks and months of holding ourselves back of not buying baby stuffs and get too excited of preparing this and that (this is considered like a taboo for the elders in the family since this is my first pregnancy), we finally decided to buy necessary stuffs for our little one, inshaaAllah, one by one. Yeay!! 

One reason is obviously we are very excited to do so and another logical reason is budget wise. Baby stuffs are certainly not cheap, okay. I bet you all are aware of that, aren't you? It's our first baby some more. So to buy everything at last minute at one go is definitely not a good idea (at least for us!). 

That's me selfie-ing in my 31 weeks of pregnancy. Alhamdulillah ya Allah♥️

Since I'll be in my 32nd weeks of pregnancy next week, which equals to the 8th month, inshaaAllah, we think it's about time that we start to prepare for my labor (OMG I'm so nervous yet excited at the same time! Please pray for me, okay?). So first up is the baby and mummy's checklist of stuffs needed to be brought to the hospital when it's "time" and then the after labor checklist as well as the newborn basics/ essentials checklist. 

I think this one is okay, it's middle ground but misses a few other essentials especially for baby.

Here are the lists that I managed to come out with after finding a few checklists on the internet (I kinda mix and match of one list to the other to come up with this one) :

#Hospital Bag Checklist :

Baby's :

- Swaddle/ Bedung Baby ✔️

- Sleepsuits or Overall Jumper ✔️

- Mittens ✔️

- Booties 

- Hat

- Towel ✔️ 

- Receiving Blanket ✔️

- Bibs

- Handkerchief/ small towel/ napkins

- Diapers/ pampers

- Toiletries + Babycare essentials 

- Going home outfit

- Hooded Blanket 

- Barut Baby ✔️

Ummi's :

- Going home outfit

- Maternity Pad

- Kain Sarong

- Towel & small towels

- Toiletries 

- Grooming kit

- VCO, Dates (kurma), Goat's Milk, Honey (make sure to be consumed before labor)

*the ones with a tick are considered ready as we have bought a few but maybe still need to be added in quantity*

#Ummi's After Labor Checklist :

- Set Bersalin (confinement set)

- Tungku

- Breastfeeding Gear (may Allah allows me to breastfeed my baby, Ameen♥️)

- Bengkung

*other necessities will be added from time to time

#Newborn Basics/ Essentials Checklist:

- Milk Bottle ✔️

- Bedding Set with Comforter (we got ours custom made, Alhamdulillah♥️) ✔️

- Rocker ✔️ (actually it's either rocker, swing or bouncer but since we bought the newborn-to-toddler rocker, we really thought it's value for money coz baby will be using it longer) 

- Baby Bather ✔️

- Diaper Bag + Changing Mat
- Stroller and Car Seat ✔️ (we managed to save our kachingg a lot for these two baby gear since my beloved uncle & aunty gave us their little Anglelina's stroller and baby car seat. Thanks Pck Nong & Aunty Lydia! Mmuahx! Hehehe.)
- Steriliser + Warmer Set, Thermometer
- Grooming Kit & Healthcare
- Baby Cot (actually we don't plan to buy one coz we plan to share the bed with our baby but we'll see once the baby's out.)

Whoaahh, that's a LIST!

Okay so far we only did a shopping spree via whatsapp to buy the stuffs. Since my hubs is still in KL last week to settle his transfer (he'll be coming home for good tomorrow!! Weeeeee!! Alhamdulillah), he went to a baby store at SS2 PJ (Babyland - good 1 stop baby center, highly recommended) and bought some of the baby stuffs and gears there. We'll buy other necessary stuffs here in Sabah soon or maybe via online shopping as I'm very fond of something different or limited edition and 'overly-cute' stuffs. Hehehe.

Our first baby stuffs shopping spree. Still a long list to go! Hehehee.

Phewww, now this is a lengthy post! Hehehe. I guess I should stop here otherwise I'll be running out of words and stories to share in my next entry. Adieu!
